Vegan and vegetarian diets: Seagreens® are a natural source of the B-vitamin group including bioavailable vitamin B12. Research using the Lactobacillus delbruekii microbiological assay method found seaweed to contain true vitamin B12 as the predominant cobalamide. Feeding the algæ to B12-deficient animals significantly improved their vitamin B12 status suggesting that algal vitamin B12 is a bioavailable source for mammals.
